How do I reconfigure my keyboard on my Ubuntu Server from the command line?

To reconfigure your keyboard settings for Ubuntu server from the command line we bring up the console setup menu.

From the command line, follow these steps:

1. Type:

sudo dpkg-reconfigure console-setup

2. Enter your root password

3. Follow the configuration screens to change the required keyboard parameter at the corresponding configuration screen
